Blogger of the Moment: C'est Christine

Blogger of the Moment – is OUR version of an “Online Trending Blog”

“Dare to live the life you’ve dreamed for yourself. Move forward and make your dreams come true,” (a Google motivational quote). At the ripe age of 21 Christine graduated college and decided it was time to live the life she had dreamed for herself; to live in France and learn French fluently. Leaving behind a boyfriend, family, friends and a high paying job; Christine made her way to Nice, France.
C’est Christine, [say] Christine, is a well written and inspiring blog.  Reading her stories makes you want to just take the leap and quit your 9-5 job and live the life of a traveler. Christine shares her experience of squatting in France for a few months. She shares some tasty French recipes and secrets to a tasty hot chocolate with a touch of nutella in it.  While reading about her adventures it almost feels as if you are part of her everyday life as she crosses off Bartending on the French Riviera, Drink a beer at Oktoberfest while wearing a dirndl, and Go bungee jumping in Australia from her Pre-Marriage Bucket List .

Christine’s lighthearted blog entries are fun to read; however there is a part of her most writers don’t expose- the philosophical and sensitive side.  Unlike many other travel bloggers Christine writes about the hardships and harsh realities of living abroad.  It’s not always rainbows and butterflies, and there is no place like home when you are 1000’s of miles away from your family.  Furthermore, Christine takes her blogging to the next level with a few posts portraying her views on philosophy. Her experiences have taught her more than any school or university ever could. Christine recognizes  “The most valuable lesson in education is realizing that you don’t know it all. The smartest people are usually the ones who admit how much they don’t know, yet are constantly eager to learn more.”
Christine has traveled through Europe, temporarily lived in France and Australia and has grown tremendously. Her site C’est Christine provides an interesting personal account on her blog provides a multitude of tips ranging from budget travel to places to see and recipes. I would highly recommend checking her site out. My two favorite articles are Living Abroad it’s a Hard Knock Expat-life and Experience Travel: These are as Educations in themselves.

In short, a quote from one her articles sums up her personality, “I believe in taking risks. I believe in waking up with natural light, not an alarm clock.”
