Blogger of the Moment: Traveling Canucks

Blogger of the Moment – is OUR version of an “Online Trending Blog”

Have you ever gone on a trip and thought to yourself, ‘I wish I could live like this everyday.’’ Well this is what happened to the ‘ Traveling Canucks. After living in Malaysia in 2004 and exploring SE Asia, the married traveling couple 50 countries together. They spent just over a year on the road and realized living out of a backpack indefinitely wasn’t exactly what they wanted from life, but they do have a passion for adventure and world exploration. We are proof that it is possible to build a career and also travel the globe!”

“Travel means different things to different people. To some, it’s a one week vacation to an all-inclusive hotel in the Caribbean. To others, it’s strapping on a backpack with no plans or itinerary. Our hope is that you find travel inspiration through our stories, videos and photographs, regardless of your travel style.” -Traveling Cannucks

You might be wondering why Canucks and what are they are doing? A Canuck is a slang term used to describe a Canadian, hence the name ‘Traveling Canuck. It is also the name of Vancouver’s professional hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks. Their website has stories, photos and videos from their travels around the world. They also feature a section for guest posts to share the adventures of other travelers. We love this because it allows other bloggers to get some spotlight as well as providing useful information from other travel bloggers.

Many people travel like a tourist, and experience the touristy sites, not the Cannucks. When they travel they like to dive as deep as possible into the local culture and learn about its history, food, religion and the best thing- local beer. One of the coolest things on the Cannucks blog is they have a whole section featuring beer around the world.

I could go on for days highlighting the fun features of the  Traveling Canucks website, but I think it’d be better if you just check it out. They post tips for Round The World traveling, and update regularly with great travel tips.
